Grammy award winning Beyonce Knowles is an African American R & B singer, actress and songwriter, and also one of the most recognized musicians of the decade. She is best known as the lead singer of the group Destiny's Child. She also enjoys a multi platinum solo career with amazing record sales.

She debuted with her solo album Dangerously In Love in 2003 which was no.1 on the R&B and pop charts in the US, Canada and UK. Beyonce gave an award winning performance in the movie musical Dreamgirls. In 2008 she played Etta James in the movie Cadillac Records. Today Beyonce successfully explores both mainstream music and R & B.

Beyonce and her group were first discovered by Whitney Houston. Beyonce married rapper Jay-Z in 2008 after a long romance. She has added a new word to the Oxford English Dictionary - "bootylicious" referring to her sexy, curvaceous and attractive butt. She loves to play board games with her friends and crew members while on the road. Beyonce ranked no.1 on VH-1's list of 100 Hottest Hotties and # 14 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2008 list. She is also known as Sasha on stage, and her favorite rapper is Wyclef Jean.
